The lessons in this book were easy and fun for my nephews to take in. It felt almost like one child teaching another what really matters at a young age. After we read it a few times, they started repeating the questions from the story and enjoyed having me answer them the way the book does. (This review has been adapted for display on this website.)

I really appreciated seeing a Black girl as the main character and enjoyed most of the artwork throughout the book. One visual detail, the white chairs, felt a little unsettling to me as they reminded me of white sheets, which I did not enjoy. I also would have preferred a slightly more powerful ending to the story. Overall, the illustrations are colorful and engaging. (This review has been adapted for display on this website.)

This story follows a very curious girl who is always trying to understand the world around her. The adults in her life respond with patience and offer thoughtful explanations each time she asks. It is a warm, meaningful picture book, and the rhyming text stays simple while still feeling clever. (This review has been adapted for display on this website.)

This is a lovely children’s book for little ones, especially around age six and under. It touches on many of the everyday questions kids bring up and presents them in a playful, easy-to-follow way. The illustrations are attractive and very polished, and I would definitely recommend it for young readers. (This review has been adapted for display on this website.)
